APRIL 26 | 9:00AM & 10:45AM

On Vision Sunday, we will celebrate what God has done at Faith Community

and how He's leading us forward. You'll hear details about what's coming,

the vision behind it, and how you can be a part!

The Story
Behind the Vision

To Make God Known:

A New Season on Mission

“For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us…”

Acts 15:28

Faith Community began in 1964, and since then, it’s always been about knowing God and making Him known. Over the years, that has unfolded in many different ways. It’s looked like missions partnerships around the world as well as outreach efforts in our own community. It’s looked like weekly gatherings to worship & study God’s Word. It’s looked like hundreds of small groups helping one another connect and grow. It’s looked like kids

learning about Jesus every Sunday and students experiencing God’s transformative power. It’s looked like a community that connects, grows, and leads alongside one another year after year.

Our ultimate mission is to help one another move from where we are to where God wants us to be.

To know God and to make Him known.

Because of that, missions - where the Gospel meets both practical and spiritual needs - has always been a part of our DNA. After years of prayer and God’s leading, we have the opportunity to carry that vision forward in

our own community.

This new season on mission will unfold in two key phases:

Phase One: Champions Club - a ministry for kids, teens, and adults with special needs

Phase Two: Faith Community Florissant - a new campus coming to Florissant, MO

As we follow God’s leading and prayerfully move forward, we’ve seen God’s faithful provision and favor with each step. Both projects have the same goal: to make God known by serving people right where they’re at. They’re the result of saying “yes” to opportunities God has placed in our hands to steward and

continuing the work of those who came before us at Faith Community.

Phase One:

Champions Club at Faith Community House Springs

A ministry for kids, teens, and adults with special needs

Did you know that 1 in 6 kids from age 3-17 has some type of special need? And, over 28% of adults have some type of disability

Church is for everyone, but studies and our experience show that attending a Sunday service with a special needs family member can be challenging. A 2018 study showed kids with autism spectrum disorder are 84% more likely to never attend a church service because ministries aren’t equipped to support them. Those with developmental delays or learning disabilities were 36% more likely to never attend a church service. For the last few years, our Faith Kids team has implemented a sensory room, as well as a buddy system, to provide care for kiddos who need extra support. While this has proved successful, we’ve reached our capacity for specialized care and are in need of a more robust program that provides a tailored approach for individuals with special needs. Why? Because they matter! Every family deserves an environment where Jesus meets them right where they are.

What is Champions Club?

Champions Club is a ministry specially equipped to minister to and design developmental areas for kids, teens, and adults with special needs, as well as the medically fragile. This program meets the developmental needs of individuals with special needs in four important ways: spiritually, emotionally,

physically, and creatively. With 126 locations worldwide, Champions Club shares expert experience in helping local churches implement ministries that serve individuals with special needs.

Current Status

Where we're at with Champions Club Now

Champions Club will take the space of our current staff offices. In February 2026, we began renovating

the basement below the Commons, and will transition our offices to that space soon when construction

is complete.

What’s Next:

Once the renovation and transition of our staff offices are complete, work on the Champions Club space will begin. We are also in the beginning stages of building a volunteer team specially trained to accommodate and care for each member of Champions Club, as well as planning for the implementation of the program. If you would like to learn more about serving in Champions Club, please fill out this form.

Phase Two:

A Second Faith Community Campus

Coming Soon to Florissant, Missouri

One of our core values is that we don’t maintain, we multiply. Because as followers of Christ, we’re called to make disciples and to make God known!

In recent years, we’ve felt God leading us to grow through new ministry opportunities and have walked this out slowly through prayer and by pursuing opportunities that taught us valuable lessons, even when they ultimately did not continue. Expanding Faith Community through another campus has been a part of the long-term vision, beginning with Pastor Ed Shirrell, our previous Lead Pastor. Since then, we’ve found ourselves waiting on God for the next move. When we least expected it, He made a way.

Why This is the Right Step Now

In 2024, our church network approached us with an incredible opportunity, ultimately giving Faith

Community an existing church building and property in Florissant, MO, completely free of charge. As we

began to walk this road, God’s favor provided for each step, and we are now preparing to launch a fully

functioning, life-giving church in that location.

With each step, we are relying on wise counsel and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Faith Community Florissant will serve another area of the Greater St. Louis region where 40% of residents identify as

“post-Christian.” The mission field is right here in our city.

Florissant is experiencing its own civic renewal with localized efforts to revive the community, and we’re excited to come alongside them. This is a step God’s been preparing us for, and we believe now is the time to begin.

We’re going to Florissant because God made a way. We’re going to Florissant to share the love of Christ. We’re going to Florissant to make God known.

Current Status

Where we're at with the Florissant Campus Now

After building repairs covered by insurance and other administrative processes, we officially took ownership of the property in late 2025.  A launch date is to be determined, but it will be beyond 2026.

The building will require extensive renovations and repairs. We’ve worked with a local architect and contracting company to develop a phased plan that will prepare the building for ministry over time.

What’s Next

As of April 2026, we’re in a holding pattern while we wait for the construction of Champions Club to be completed, as the same contractor will cover both projects. There are still many things yet to be decided, and we’re taking this one step at a time. See the "before" photos below.

What We See for Faith Community Florissant

We see a vibrant, life-giving church that reflects the surrounding community. While the mission, vision, and

values of Faith Community will be woven into the DNA of Faith Community Florissant, it will also carry an

identity that reflects the surrounding community. We’re not aiming to create a carbon copy of Faith Community House Springs. Rather, our hope is that the DNA of Faith Community will unfold in a unique way that serves the people of Florissant.

Three Ways to Help
Make God Known

I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.  It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.  The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.  For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.

VOLUNTEER PARTNER

None of this will happen apart from God!
Current Prayer Points:

• For God to be made known through this

• For wisdom for every decision to be made

• For provision for every need to come

• For favor for each step of the process

• For the people we get to serve in both Champions Club & Florissant

Every financial contribution makes a difference. From building repairs to team development and basic supplies, your gift will make a direct impact. An online fund will be added soon to contribute directly to this project. To give in person or by mail, mark “To Make God Known” on the envelope or in the memo.

Both Champion's Club and the Florissant campus will require a full team of dedicated volunteers pre and post launch. This is an incredibly valuable way to be a part of what God's doing in this new season.  Use the form below to sign up for more information.
